MY FAVE PANDEMIC NATURAL GLAM PRODUCTS!
/If you’re like me, you’re finding it impossible to feel your best in quarantine. I know a lot of us can glam, but it almost seems like a waste of time and product. Yes, it can make us feel better to put a full face of makeup on, but to be honest I’m just so lazy these days! I also feel like this is the perfect time to actually let our skin breathe.
However, we could all use just a little sprucing up if you know what I mean! So below are some of my go to natural glam products that I use when I want that natural glow and fast! I don’t want to spend an hour doing my makeup, so the faster I can get it done…the better!
I’ve never done a live tutorial, but if you would like to see how I put on all these products let me know and I will figure it out! It’s kind of intimidating doing a tutorial when there are so many amazing makeup gurus on YouTube, but I would do it for you!
A few things to keep mind, is that what works for me might not necessarily work for you as all of us have different skin types. While we can achieve a natural glow with makeup, the best glow comes from having healthy skin. Our skin is so temperamental depending on genetics, diet, sleep, hormones and water intake!
Which is why when life gets back to normal, it’s important to make sure to have your skin assessed by a seasoned esthetician/nurse or dermatologist. This is the only way you will find skin products that work for you! Invest in getting facials consistently over buying a bunch of products that don’t work for your skin!
Skincare is a whole other beast and another blog post! For now though, check out the products below. I’ve also listed out my personal step by step process of how I apply these products. I know it might seem like a lot of steps, but I promise it shouldn’t take more than ten minutes. Happy glam glam my beauties! Love you all muchisimo!
HOW I GLAM!
STEP ONE: Moisturize the skin. I always do my daily morning skin regimen first. (vitamin C serum, grape seed oil, moisturizing face lotion, SPF 45 lotion and firming eye cream in that order).
STEP TWO: I apply the Amarte BB cream with my hands and distribute it evenly all over my face. Remember we want easy and by using my hands, the warmth of them allows for a more natural finish. We don’t want a cake face or a full on makeup look. We want this glow to look like our skin wasn’t even touched!
*Sadly the Amarte BB cream doesn’t come in a variety of colors. So I linked a few of my other faves that also have a natural finish. You can also use the flawless filter all over your face, which is such a beautiful finish as well!
STEP THREE: I apply the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter under my eyes and bridge of nose. I prefer to use this over concealer as for me it provides a more natural finish under my eyes while brightening at the same time.
*If you have dark under eye circles, use the Becca cosmetics brightening corrector followed by the Becca aqua luminous concealer. The concealer is super light, but provides enough coverage to cover up any blemishes or dark circles.
STEP FOUR: I gently blend the product with a Sephora airbrush concealer brush #57.
STEP FIVE: I cover any blemishes with the Becca aqua luminous concealer and lightly blend with the same brush from step 4. You should definitely pick a concealer that is closer to your skin tone. If you go too light it won’t look natural.
STEP SIX: I apply the Marc Jacobs coconut bronzer on my cheekbones, chin, forehead and bridge of my nose. I apply it with a Morphe E4 brush, but any angled contour brush would work. The key is just to lightly blend it into the skin. I usually just put a drop on the back of my hand, blend and then apply.
STEP SEVEN: I apply the NARS liquid blush to the apple of my cheeks and bridge of my nose. I add a drop of the liquid to the back of my hand and blend with a blush brush then apply. You want to really use a light touch!
STEP EIGHT: I apply the Two Faced better than sex mascara. I don’t apply to my lower lash line.
STEP NINE: Marc Jacobs coconut lip oil!
